To keep gratitude in my daily life,
I started playing a game called „Five thnigs“. I think of five things to be thankful for in the moment, with no generic answers allowed. Instead of I’m grateful for my health“, I’ll say, „I’m grateful my leg feels well enough today to exercise.“
Playing „Five things“ with its emphasis on what’s right, right, now, works well with its companion attitude – presence.

TEN STEPS FOR MOVING FORWARD:
- Cry, Yell and Grieve: Whenever you go through a difficult time, it changes you. It changes the way you think and percieve things.
- Talk when you are ready: Find someone who can talk to as an equal and whose opinion you value, and pour your heart out.
- Escape when you need to: But not too often, because escaping never makes your problems go away, and you always have to deal with them eventually.
- Start small: If the big things are too overwhelming at any moment, start small. Try to focus on smaller more attainable goals.
- Find your muse: Find the thing, or the things that inspire you the most and absorb them into your world.
- Reach out: Interaction i san important thing in any person’s life. Reaching out doesn’t necessearily mean telling everyone about your struggles, rather it means finding people you enjoy.
- Channel your nervous energy: The best way to pervent this is to throw yourself headlong into another project, albeit a more relaxing one.
- Help someone else: Helping someone else is actually a great way to help you deal with tough things that are going on in your own life.
- Focus on the good things: By focusing on the good things in your life, you can muster up enough strength to hope. And I believe that hope is ultimately what allows you to move on.
- Take one day at a time: We spend so much time worrying about things that are far in the future, that we miss the things that are happening at the moment.
